About Susan Grubb
I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania with nearly a decade of experience in helping people journey through life’s difficulties. I have experience in working with teens and adults with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am particularly passionate about helping women of all ages work through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, parenting, and life transition issues. I utilize a blended therapy approach that primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, but draws from other theoretical approaches. I help you to identify beliefs that are keeping you stuck and to develop thought patterns and behaviors to move you toward a more fulfilling and happier life. Underlying my therapeutic work is a person-centered approach, where I recognize that the relationship between the therapist and client is key. I view us as partners as we develop the path toward healing and fuller functioning.
I graduated with high distinction from Liberty University in 2011. Prior to that, I worked as a newspaper reporter for more than 20 years. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my grown son, gardening and keeping up with an assortment of household pets.
